This Frenchman decided to embark on a voyage to the North. Alaska and the Eskimo tribe he met was the Netsilikmiut (The Seal Eskimos) - a 20,000 mile trek from Ottawa to Vancouver, a 15-month voyage. He hitched rides, depended upon the journeyings of others, and had no means of transportation of his own. He hitched rides with eskimos going to a seal camp, with Coast Guard boats, etc. He sought to "live" the Eskimo life, not to just write about it.. Hard Cover.
