Book summary

Bill Malone is a widower who never got over his wife's death. Now his beloved prairie is threatened by condominiums. When one of the developers dies mysteriously and Bill's old flame, Margaret, becomes involved in the investigation, Bill must confront old emotions and uncomfortable truths.
