Book summary

The second set of Amber books focuses on Merlin: half breed son of Corwin, missing prince of Amber, and Dara, princess of Chaos. Merlin's dual heritage has served him well in learning the sorcerous arts, as well as in attaining a computer science degree from Berkeley. But his peaceful life on the shadow Earth is rudely interrupted when his ex-girlfriend is murdered by animals that should not exist in this world, and an old college buddy suddenly seems to know far too much about his true identity.
