Book summary

In this third volume in the series that began with "The Rowan", Darian's children travel throughout the galaxy studying other civilizations. Thian, on an expedition to collect pieces of an alien space craft, discovers larvae from an insectoid race known as the Hiver--and then captures a Hiver queen to raise the larvae.
