From the Library of Chuck Johnson, Sports Editor of the Milwaukee Journal, with Johnson's ownership signature and home address on the front fly leaf, and Johnson's signature and work address on the back endpaper. Inscribed and Signed directly on the title page, in blue ink, by Vince Lombardi, as follows: "To Chuck Johnson / with fond memories / & from a 'pauper' in my / field to a 'prince' in his / Vince Lombardi" The book is in very good condition, some leaning to spine, light rubbing to title on spine, and light soiling; and in a very good to near fine dustjacket, with light wear.. boards : Common term for the covers of a hardbound book.
rubbing : Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually
used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
