The first half takes readers on a quick visit to different lists and Usenet groups, from the most mundane to the outrageous. The second half treats Internet Relay Chat and MUDs as well as ways to download files. Finally, those who would like to be anonymous in their electronic dealings will find the chapter on remailers to be most reassuring. The real value of this book, however, comes in a snapshot of the current state of online encounters. As an anthropological or psychological document, or as an enlightened introduction, you'll find net.sex a guide to thinking about sex in an entirely different way.
