Proving that "a woman, alone, can safely walk every step of the way across the United States", Minnie Hill walked for 140 days, across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado (following the railroad tracks "through the gorges & canyons where there is no wagon road", Utah, Nevada & California. Binding is sound; light bumping & slight wear to corners; spine top & base lightly bumped; a couple of small light stains to spine, otherwise exterior clean. Interior clean, though page margins are mildly toned; an illustration near the back of the book has been removed. Book is unmarked. . Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Duodecimo.
