Contemporary ownership signature at head of second leaf, contemporary ink notes on rear pastedown. Else very good. One of the most popular gardening guides of the 19th century. A revised edition appeared in 1832, followed by a third the same year which added a section on fruit trees, followed in turn by another expanded version the next year.
