Very attractive volumes in their original bindings: green textured cloth with paper labels on spine. Only a little wear to spine ends or tips, no loss to paper labels. Boards are slightly rubbed, one small circular stain on spine of Vol. 2, light to moderate foxing to pages throughout. Very slight separation of cloth over outer hinge on Vol. 2, not affecting binding and hardly visible. A handsome, collectible copy of this early historical novel dealing with the Cavalier tradition.
