London: Macmillan, 1913. Limited edition of 1050 sets. Published 1913 - 1919. Volume 1 signed by the author on half-title. 25 volumes large 8vo (9 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches). Contemporary three-quarter crushed green morocco, spines with 5 raised bands, lettered direct in gilt to two compartments, ornamentally blocked in gilt to 4 compartments, green cloth sides,top edges gilt others uncut. The bindings by Dulau & Co. Spines uniformly, and most attractively, sunned to olive. Narrow paint (?) mark to lower cover of 2 volumes. A beautiful set finely and strongly bound and very clean internally. This set was complete when issued, however as Kiping continued to write, a further 6 volumes were issued over the following 19 years. Volumes 1-6 shown; all the volumes are in the same condition.
