We are former bricks & mortar book and antique & collectibles store owners, now selling only online. We try to provide the best shopping experience for you that is possible, and we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and our ethics. We adhere to the ethics specifications of IOBA (Independent Online Booksellers Association). All our books are first editions / first printings in dustjackets (where issued), unless otherwise noted in the description field of each book. Specialties are literature, modern firsts, signed and / or limited editions, authors' first books, horror / sci-fi / mystery, earth sciences including plants / animals / ecology / environmental / archaeology / anthropology, Native American, mythology, antiquarian books, and a selection of (mostly sci-fi and mystery) paperback originals.

Bert has been a full-time bookseller since 1976. He is a member of the New Hampshire Antiquarian Bookseller's Association, the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) (since 1982) and the International Leaque of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). We are located just under 40 miles north of Boston in Southern New Hampshire. We have around 3,000 titles in the following categories: Modern first editions - mainly American and English - many of the books being signed; poetry, poetry broadsides, and press books. Most of our holdings are modern and fairly contemporary, and feature both mainstream and genre fiction (e.g. contemporary literature, detective & science fiction), with emphasis on notable writers and literary prize-winners in both prose and poetry. We also do appraisals and buy and sell author collections.

Bloody Rare Books, LLC specializes in horror, science fiction, fantasy and crime and sells fine, first edition, signed and collectible books. We are a member of the New Hampshire Antiquarian Booksellers Association (NHABA) and the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA).

We have two stores across the street from each other. One is for more collectable material and most of these are on the net. The other is just book books to read -- most is scholarly nonfiction. Our stores are open every day from eleven to four.
