London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co, 1890. Hardcover. Very Good. Folio. 12 3/4" x 10 3/4". Quarterbound thick card covers with black binding. Browning to edges of covers. 73 pp. 26 pl. Twenty-Six plates to rear. Constitutes the Seventh Memoir of THE EGYPT EXPLORATION FUND (Extra Volume for 1888-1889). "Describes those excavations which were made (to these sites) during the first half of the winter of 1887..." (The author goes on to declare the results short, due to the need for further, more thorough excavation during the following two winters, and writes "the considerable results of which will be putlished in a separate volume". During the winter of 1887, Edouard Naville "had the valuable help of Mr. Griffith, who in the present work deals chiefly with the archaeological side of the excavations. The reader will notice that our opinions disagree as to the age to which some of the objects discovered in the necropolis of Tell el. Yahoodieh should be attributed..." {Preface}.
