Prout was a contributor to 'Beauties of England and Wales' (1803-1813) and made a series of continental street scenes, to great acclaim. Prout also engraved numerous prints of Australia, before, during and after the gold rushes. Signed "very faithfully yrs, S Prout. 4 1/2 x 7"
