This is the original publisher's issuance, with temporary boards and ready to bind according to the customer's wishes as was the custom at the time. Octavo, 10" tall, viii + 687 pages, publisher's boards. A good hard cover overall with general exterior shelf wear, boards stained, hinges broken and front cover loose, paper back strip chipped; interior very good, binding solid, paper supple and lightly yellowed with moderate foxing throughout primarily at the gutters.
