A very rare edition of this important work. I have not been able to identify any other copies of this particular edition. Very Good, in contemporary full calf binding with some scuffing and wear to boards. 'John Cole Portsmouth' written on title page, and a small inscription on verso flyleaf, otherwise very clean internals with very little foxing. Detailed digital images available upon request.

Documents the drastic rebuilding of the West End and the concommitant changes in manners and customs. Gilt dark blue covers with slight fading to spine. Small inscription on front flyleaf. Some light foxing, mainly of the first few pages and last few pages.
