Rebound with a brown leather spine and marbeled paper covered boards. Edges of textblock slightly soiled. Old name of former owner on flyleaf. Light foxing to many pages. A couple pages have very small closed tears at top. Pages of the Advertiser are darker than the Directory, as is common. [ 2 ] [ 18 ] 340 [ 2 ] [ 2 ] p. consisting of an original blank leaf, the Directory, an advert for the publisher, an advert for the New England Museum, and a new blank leat at end. An interesting and at times entertaining directory of this great American city in the early days of th Republic, covering African Americans, directions, homes, businesses, medical professionals, and more. A fun artifact of New England history.
