Covers very good with little wear, text block sound, lower and outer margins trimmed quite closely but without loss of text, page age-toned throughout with some slightly darker dampstaining to the upper corner throughout, text readily legible, name of Prosper Rudd on title page, no other markings. . Attractively bound in three quarter greenish brown morocco leather over marbled boards, binding by Riviere, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed, marbled endpapers, book about 9 inches tall. Spine slightly faded to a pleasing dark tan, some fairly light expected shelfwear mainly rubbed edges, spine head has just a little roughness, good hinges, firm text block, very clean pages with the armorial bookplate of R.
