An attractive early UK copy in azure blue cloth boards with blind stamped decoration, with the title 'Maria Monk' in a gilt border to the spine, and a gilt vignette religious (Nun and child? ) illustration to the front board. A little rubbed to all extremities, and corners a little 'soft', but no damage. A slight lean to the book. Clean and sound. Internally No Inscriptions, but the odd light mark /spots - mainly to the blank margins. Pale lemon endpapers, somewhat discoloured with age.
