This copy (I assume originally a paperback? ) has been bound into green shiny boards (I presume by the former owner? ). No titling to the boards, but the book is in a clear library dustjacket into which the original red wraps (with black titling /black biplane decoration) have been put, simulating a d/j.. As it has been bound as a hardcover by ? ( ? Binder/former owner ? ) - the wraps are somewhat smaller than the boards - but this 'pseudo d/j' does enhance its appearance - in my opinion. The book has been respined (not very well in my opinion) at some point in the distant past with some attempt at repairs to the corners as well. This 'newer' leather spine is plain and torn, chipped, repaired to the head/tail of the spine. NO Title label on the Spine. However ALL hinges seem pretty tight. Internally the book lacks the half title, has newer (old) endpapers and the book starts at the Title page. The Title page and the original rear endpaper are lightly browned in patches, as are the page fore-edges, but the rest of the text block, apart from an odd mark here and there, and some paper torn with loss to the blank inner margin of page 385, is very clean, clear and tight.
