Anthology of pieces from one of the most popular young person's adventuer magazines of the first half of the 20th century, "The American Boy". He was seven foot five and four hundred fifty pounds; he was billed as the "Eighth Wonder of The World"; he was the greatest attraction in wrestling and one of the most famous athletes in the world. Andre Roussimoff (1946-1993) began his profesional wrestling carrier in his native France. Under his ring name "Andre The Giant" he rose to fame with the WWWF/WWF (now the WWE) in 1973 and in 1988 defeated Hulk Hogan in the first "The Main Event' to win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Outside the ring, he famously appeared in the movie "The Princess Bride" as Fezzik. Andre was the first inductee into the WWF Hall of Fame though this honor was posthumous as he died in 1993.

Parent began his NHL career with the Boston Bruins in 1965-66 but when the league expanded in 1967, he was claimed by the new Philadelphia Flyers franchise. He would be with the Flyers from 1967 to 1971 and was traded to the Totonto Maple Leafs where Plante was still active. After a year in the WHA, he returned to the Flyers for their "Broad Street Bullies" glory years. Parent was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984.
