B & L Rootenberg Rare Books is located minutes from West Los Angeles, near UCLA and the Getty. We always welcome visitors, though appointments are suggested. We occasionally issue finely printed and illustrated catalogues as well as specialized subject lists, and are constantly adding existing and new material to our website. We exhibit at several national and international book fairs during the year, represent clients at auction and offer appraisal and other professional services. We are always interested in purchasing single items or entire collections, and would be pleased to consider any materials you wish to sell. Special requests and specific wants will be given particular attention. We are always available, via phone, fax or email, to answer questions, search for a specific title, or provide information on our inventory.

Faster Books sells a wide range of books and ephemera, but specializes in Medical and biological science texts.

Fyrebyrd Bookshop is an internet-only bookstore specializing in Mystery and Suspense, Modern First Editions and (mostly rare) medical texts, although other subjects are strongly supported.

We have high standards for any book in our stock, regardless of the age of the book. If we wouldn't be proud to display it in our personal collection, we won't sell it.

We are full-time professional booksellers and members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada (ABAC), through which we are affiliated with the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). We maintain a carefully selected stock of desirable books, with specialties in fine bindings, law, medicine, nautical, polar, and general antiquaria. We are a second hand internet only bookstore, selling all genres of books. We also provide a book search service, and purchase private book collections.

I offer a large variety of used books. Unlike sellers buying bulk lots in an attempt to sell everything they can get an hand on, I select my books one by one. Very few are \"bestsellers\", but all of them may become a lucky find for someone.
