The text block is in very good plus condition, clean, straight and tight pages. With 65 b/w photos, illustrations and maps. On title page is round purple stamp with 'Complimentary Copy' printed inside. Name of previous owner on half title page.

The covers are clean, straight and quite firm; corners and spine ends bumped. Tanned free end papers; the front free end paper has an attractive prize plate. Tanned cut edges. The text block is in fairly good condition, with tightly bound pages, not tanned or foxed, but with marks, especially on prelims, last page and early text pages. Pencil scribbles on pages 30 to 31. Issued without jacket.Rare.

In quite good floral decorated green bevel-edged cloth with gilt titles to front. The covers are unmarked and a little wobbly due to hinge damage; corners and spine ends bumped and frayed. The end papers have small green and white pattern and are tanned around the edges; both end papers are broken down the central groove. Gilt cut edges. The text block is in good condition; quite tightly bound, mostly clean, though some pages are tanned, mostly around the edges. With "numerous illustrations". The large b/w plates are on non shiny paper and have some tanning. The frontispiece has a tissue guard. Advertisement section to rear. Name and address on half title page. Issued without jacket.

Text is reasonably clean but some foxing on the photographs. Line illustrations and photographs throughout.

The pages are not tanned, but the last text page and the pages with adverts are foxed. No inscriptions etc. Bought as seen. Reading copy only

In very good plus tan thick card staple-bound boards with black titles to front and tipped in watercolour. The boards are clean, straight and tight; spine and edges firm - excellent for age. Tanned free end papers; feint dedication in pencil on front free end paper. Age-toned cut edges. The text block is firm and flat. The text pages are mostly foxed; the 20 pages with watercolours are glossy, clean and bright. Very good condition. Without jacket.

In good bright red cloth boards, with blind stamped decoration to front with gilt titles. The covers are very tight and straight and quite clean. "The Clevedon Community Bookshop Boundary Team: have cleaned the book cloth. The Team have also re-attached the front end papers at hinge and applied the same colour plaquet to both sides of frontispiece. The free end papers are rather tanned; name of previous owner on front free end paper. The paste downs are marked and tanned around the edges. Shiny gilt cut edges.The text block is straight and firm; the Prelims are foxed and a little tanned; the main text block is mostly unmarked. Dedication on frontispiece page. Condition good plus. Without jacket.

The text block is tightly bound and quite clean; Prelims and last text pages lightly tanned and foxed. Very neat dedication on a Prelim with further pencil greeting. Frontispiece. Good plus condition page block.

The covers are very worn, the front cover is slightly warped, cracked hinge, small split in cloth from tail end of spine, bumped and frayed corners and spine ends. The front cover is loose from text block. Grubby end papers, tanned around the edges, also foxed. Very tanned cut edges. The text block pages are firmly bound, grubby, lightly tanned around the edges. Very rare.

Dust jacket is price clipped. It has been repaired with sticky tape. Many open and closed tears along the top and bottom edges. Covered with removable clear plastic.
