Some discoloration on endpapers but rest of text clean and bright. Tight binding. Jacket shows a colour picture of a mine. it is slightly stained, with tears on the spine and in poor condition along the top.

The text block is tightly bound and not tanned - very good - with many figures including fold-out figure at front.
