Which states: Basingwerk, or Basywerk call'd by the Britains Monachlog y Maes Glas, that is, Greenfield Abby. Here Ralph Earl of Chester AD 1131 founded an Abby of Cistercians, and dedicated it to St Mary. It was rated in the 26 years of K Henry III at £150.7.3. Etc etc.
