Rogue PI Burke is hired by a beautiful woman to find a child abuser so she can kill him with her own hands.

In his latest adventure, Burke and his band of adventurers take on a gang of abusive husbands who become stalkers of their own wives. After rescuing a porn star, a rape victim, and a sadomasochistic runaway, they turn their efforts towards the pregnant Marla, whose neo-Nazi husband has plans to induct his unborn child into his cult. When it turns out that Marla's husband is a paid informant who may be helping the U.S. government infiltrate his movement, it is suddenly apparent that the entire operation is far more intricate and dangerous than even Burke had expected.

While at summer camp, 11-year-old Abigail tries to reinvent herself as someone brave and confident--the total opposite of the shy, nervous girl she is at home. Abigail is motivated to change by her belief that this is the type of person her deceased father always wanted her to be. In her zeal to fit in, Abigail goes along with the other girls who pick on a fellow camper named Dana, even though Abigail secretly likes her. Is the person Abigail has become really the person she wants to be?
