OCLC Number 3051007; 2000 copies printed November, 1936, on Hermes extra strong book paper. xiv, 133, [1] pages : frontispiece, illustrations, diagrams ; 24 cm by William Bond Wheelwright ; with foreword by Otto G. Kress. A fine copy with numerous illustrations and explanations of the papermaking process. A good book for the begining collector to learn about how paper is made for printing. Crisp and clean throughout with very small exterior bumping on corners of the boards. No cove present or was issued with this book (probably glassine wrapped for shipment). Also a signed letter from David T. Pottinger, Associate Director of the Harvard University Press, Cambridge Massachusetts, dated August 1st, 1939 thanking 'Bill' for his lecture. Folds to letter with nice logo and chip with loss of paper top left corner, not affecting text. OCLC Shows: 5 editions published in 1936 in English and held by 144 libraries worldwide

Rebound in paper boards with recreation of period swirl colors often used. Blanks are new. 4to. Very nice and tight binding that will last for many hundreds of years. Interior is bright and clean with chapter colophons and printing is sharp. A very nice book about the life of the Apostle Paul with frequent Greek text references and translated to Latin. Although 42 libraries are showing the book, 16 have actual copies. A later edition is more widely owned and was printed in 1717 and 1739.
