"Illustrated by ML" is handwritten on ffep. This is an Extra Illustrated copy of this book. There have been 5 pages added after publication. Each of these added pages have original vintage photographs glued to them, and a handwritten notation beneath the pictures. The notation gives the name of what or whom is pictured and the page in the book to which the photograph refers . The notations are as follows: "The Shop", "East Bay", "Mrs. Day", "Mrs. Day's House", and "Mr. and Mrs. Darling". There is also a photograph glued to the back of the half title page notated as "Our Cottage".
