Book is in Fair condition (creasing and wear at spine ends, small piece missing top spine, spine darkened and has markings. 3 corners mildly bumped, wear at all corners, spotting and rubbing on cover, soiling to page edges, previous owners names on ffep, light water damage on back inside cover and on last end paper) no dust jacket. 304 pages. "Illustrated by ML" is handwritten on ffep. This is an Extra Illustrated copy of this book. There have been 5 pages added after publication. Each of these added pages have original vintage photographs glued to them, and a handwritten notation beneath the pictures. The notation gives the name of what or whom is pictured and the page in the book to which the photograph refers . The notations are as follows: "The Shop", "East Bay", "Mrs. Day", "Mrs. Day's House", and "Mr. and Mrs. Darling". There is also a photograph glued to the back of the half title page notated as "Our Cottage".
