Boston: Estes and Lauriat, 1892 Program from a meeting of the Ladies Literary Club, Ypsilanti, Michigan dated September 1893, is laid in. The topic of the program was Italy. Paper backed red cloth dust jacket with gold title on spine. Paper is cracked at front flap fold, cloth is intact. Title is a little faded, spine panel is spotty. Cloth is a little soiled, small chips to head and tail of spine. Jacket now protected by clear mylar cover. White cloth heavily decorated with blue and gold. Boards have beveled edges. Head of spine is rubbed and slightly fraying. Tail of spine is bruised. Board edges are browning. Gold is bright. Top edges of pages are gilt. Pages are yellowed and there a few spots of foxing. New York: The Viking Press, 1967 Translated from the Swedish by Florence Lamborn. The jacket has seen better days but the book is very good+ condition. Numerous black and white drawings, both full page and smaller chapter headers. There are chips and tears to most of the jacket edges. Most are small but there is a 1" open tear at the bottom of the front panel, through the author's name. There is a 1" closed tear at the bottom of the rear panel. Original price is intact but bottom corner of front flap has a sizable clip. Jacket is now protected by Brodart. Beige cloth with red title on spine and red illustration Pippi on front board. Tail of spine is lightly bumped. Small white stain to edge of spine near bottom. Top edge of pages dyed red. Small stray pen mark to bottom edges of pages, not a remainder mark.
