Boston: Ginn and Company, 1931 Webb was Associate Professor of History at the University of Texas. This book was hailed as an outstanding contribution to American History. Webb was President of the Texas State Historical Association from 1939 to 1946. He launched a project to create an encyclopedia of Texas which eventually resulted in the Handbook of Texas. Dark blue cloth with silver titles on spine and cover. Front board also has silver buffalos. Cloth is heavily worn, especially at spine and corners. Silver on spine is nearly gone.
