Book has dark top stained pages, first printing on copyright page. There is also a circular blind stamp on the rear board, which would indicate it is a book club edition. Signed by Capote on the title page. Dust jacket has moderate wear, mostly small chips around the edges. There is a slightly larger chip on the top edge of rear panel, just at spine. The rear edge of the spine panel is heavily worn. There are small chips at flaps and a chip in the color at the leading edge of the front panel. Jacket is now in clear mylar cover. Maroon cloth with gold and silver titles on spine, gold initials on front board. Head and tail of spine are only slightly bruised. Cloth is clean, binding is a little soft, though not cracked.
