The edges of some of the foldout maps are tattered because they extend past the edges of the other pages. One of the panoramas is nearly torn in two. Boston: Estes and Lauriat, 1892 Program from a meeting of the Ladies Literary Club, Ypsilanti, Michigan dated September 1893, is laid in. The topic of the program was Italy. Paper backed red cloth dust jacket with gold title on spine. Paper is cracked at front flap fold, cloth is intact. Title is a little faded, spine panel is spotty. Cloth is a little soiled, small chips to head and tail of spine. Jacket now protected by clear mylar cover. White cloth heavily decorated with blue and gold. Boards have beveled edges. Head of spine is rubbed and slightly fraying. Tail of spine is bruised. Board edges are browning. Gold is bright. Top edges of pages are gilt. Pages are yellowed and there a few spots of foxing. Page 30 has a moderate chip and tear, page 31 has a closed tear, both in the margin. The pages were badly separated at an uncut area.
