A catalogue of the Forster Collection (Sammlung) of images which show bees, beehives or other apicultural artefacts. The woodcut of "Concordia mit dem Bienenstock" (Frankfurt 1589) shows an intrepid, scantily dressed lady clutching a hive around which are circling some seriously oversized bees. Other images are more realistic; the collector has assembled a most interesting series of images of 'bees in art'. 98 pp., of which 52 pp. are the catalogue and the remainder the illustrations (in monochrome, on gloss paper).
