Scenic covers/endpapers do not have staple holes however the text has a stapled spine. This could be an unfinished copy. The American Life Foundation decided to make this a combined issue of volumes 2 and 3. The latter portion will be issue as a supplement to volume 2. So you are getting volume 3 only.
