Immaculate, tight, crisp, fine, bright copy in marbled paper boards slightly scuffed, gold-decorated brown calf spine, very slight worm damage to lower front cover hinge. An interesting survey of eighteenth century domestic production treating principally these categories: economie rustique, agriculture, arts, and commerce. For the historian of European economics in the eighteenth century, there is some comparison of French products to similar products from abroad. Obviously, the foreign conflicts affected domestic economic policy then as now. Each of the sections of this beautiful copy has an engraved pictorial head-piece. One very interesting preliminary entry about the manufacture of paper advises importation of paper samples from abroad for use as production models.
