Taaniko: Maori Hand-Weaving
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1975. 96 pages. Taaniko is a weaving technique devised by the Maori of New Zealand probably during the 14th or 15th century. Taaniko weaving makes use of twisting movements of the hands and wrists to manipulate fibers into a woven product. Neither tools nor loom are used. Ex-library copy. Dust jacket protected with mylar cover. Label on spine. Previous owner's name on ffep. Label ripped off rear free end paper. End paper a little warped due to gluing down of this label. Small black marker mark on title page which has transferred a little to adjacent pages. Corners minimally bumped. Interior clean and bright with a solid binding.. Hard Cover.
