Bottom front spine joint is split with a one inch tear which includes separation in same spot to first 3 pages as well of book. Some colour from cover rubbed off from spine from minor chipping and chaffing so that ISBN no longer readable. Still a good readable copy.. Reprint. Trade Paperback. Leicester Great Britain: Brockhampton Press LTD, 1965 This is a solid and very good copy marked as good as it is ex school library with 2 small (2inch by 3/4 inch) library stamps one on title page one on back page, crossed through with a red texta mark. 88 pages clean lightly yellowed. Book has yellow cloth boards with light rubbing to edges, corners and spine ends, firm binding. Jacket is good covered with a plastic cover has chipping and fraying around spine foot and head areas, and corners rest of jacket protected, has one small piece of white masking tape on spine worn now probably had a library number on it, Plastic cover is taped to book and jacket in several places causing discolouring to jacket under the tape. A lovely illustrated children's book, somewhat hard to find a good first edition like this.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. Illus. by Shillabeer, Mary. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. The front cover has a couple of crease marks towards the top of the front cover. Pictorial cover, spine slightly faded, edges yellowing lightly. Clean internal pages, a relatively fresh copy with light shelf buffing and indenting to back cover also. Another addition to this classic and popular series of books by Richmal Crompton. Crompton's best known books are her William stories, about a mischievous 11-year-old schoolboy and his band of friends, known as the Outlaws. A British writer she died in 1969.. Second Impression.
