New York: Hammer Publishing. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1978. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; SIGNED EDITION. Signed by Author and subject. Spine ends & corners of book covers have a bit of light bumping and rubbing. Cream / tan linen covered boards with gilt lettering to front cover and spine. Text pages clean & bright. There are two small chips missing from fore edge of rear endpaper which look to be a flaw in the paper. Inscribed by the artist on front free page: --To Ed and Evelyn / with all good wishes / Shirl Goedike / 2 Feb 1979 / San Jose--. Also signed by Author on rear pastedown (just signature and date). Text is interspersed with both black & white and color illustrations of the artist's work. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. Top front edge of dust jacket has two small, but edge torn, nicked and wrinkled tears. Bottom front edge of dust jacket has a smaller, less obtrusive tear and a nick to bottom front corner. There is another very small tear to top spine end of dust jacket also. Overall, a very good copy. Includes a copy of an excerpt for this book (probably sent out pre-publication for galleries). --Unlike many painters, Goedike is highly articulate in words, but like all members of his profession, he thinks he isn't. Our text is therefore a collaboration. Goedike did the analysing and provided the background information. I did the writing--. ; Signed by Author . more information
