J. B. Lippincott Company, 1966. Signed by the author, John Ciardi ("For the 'Lilla Monster" from our den to hers"). A few pages have an impression and a rust outline of a paper clip in the top margin (including the page which the author signed). NO JACKET. The pictorial boards have scratches, scraped spots, and small dents on the top and bottom edges, as well as a medium-sized dent on the front board's bottom edge. In addition, the boards' corners are cracked and torn, revealing the cardboard underneath. The binding is cracked between one 2-pg spread, leaving a gap in the gutter between the two pages.
