Approximately 4 pages inside are lightly marked in ink, back inside cover has ink and crayon marks on illustration(someone was coloring in the line drawing - sort of). 313 pages, all intact, yellowed with age. 1-2 small tears on pages (less than 1"). This is a children's chapter book involving pirates, small mysteries, and other child fantasies. The binding is red cloth, with several specks of paint (tan) on the front and small lighter spots where the paint was likely removed. On the back there are a few small speckles, a small spot and a thin line of the same paint. Lettering in black, the corners and both ends of the spine are worn. 197 pages, there are spots on the first few pages, and a small side tear on page 106. The binding is tight; a gift inscription is written on the ffep, with a shadow over the writing that was probably a book plate. The shadow shows through to the back of the page. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. more information

They don't find it the first day and are forced to make camp in the woods, which turns out to be great fun. This is one of a series of boy's books that contain articles on nature lore, animals and a wealth of other information about outdoor life. A great book for a boy who enjoys the outdoors. 185 pages with several pages of advertisements for other boys books. Orange cloth with light wear to the corners and spine ends. At several signatures there is a slight crack, but the binding is tight. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. more information

Worn a bit at all corners; worn to the cloth at the spine top and bottom. Some wear at the bottom edges and side edges. The front is a pretty and bright cover showing two people sitting outside enjoying some violin music with the mountains in the background. 160 pages, no marks or tears; pages are somewhat yellowed on the edges. 8) Toby Tyler or Ten Weeks with a Circus

Garden City NY: Junior Deluxe Editions, 1958. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. Weisgard, Leonard. This story begins as a traveling circus stops for a performance in the town of Guilford, and in the process takes on a new hand - a spunky little fellow named Toby Tyler. Toby had been unhappy living with his Uncle Daniel, so when Mr. Lord, the cirus' peanut man, offered Toby a job as his assistant, he said yes. But the next day, far from home, Toby discovered that Mr. Lord was something less than a jovial fellow; he could be downright cruel. The binding corners and spine edges have slight wear. The DJ has a small tear at the top, another at the front hinge, and a small tear with a few chips on the top back. The botom has a 1" tear and two smaller tears with a few nicks. There is a pencil marks on the spine, and a scuff. The spine is discolored, slightly darker than the DJ. There is part of a label on the back. 223 pages, well-illustrated. Peter is determined to help Mrs. Piper, so he designs a home that can be built on their lot. After construction begins, they are warned to be wary of the Red Circle. Several people become ill, and strange sounds are heard at night coming from the unfinished house. Judy's search for the mysterious culprit becomes more intense when her cat falls ill. 250 pages, later printing (rust-colored cover). Light wear at the corners and along the front and bottom edge.
