Rambles in Europe: In Ireland, Scotland, England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France with Historical Facts Relating to Scotch-American Families
Boston: Cupples, Upham & Co.. The longest title in our collection... No date of publication visible, circa 1880s. Maroon cover with bright gilt tiles on spine and embossed black titles on front cover. 351 pages with many illustrations by L. J. Bridgman and C.H. Dinsmoor. The spine has split at pages 40/41 and while still attached, this grouping of pages is literally (pun not intended but very apt) hanging by a thread. There are other attachment weaknesses. Also illustrated with some full page black and white plates including of the author and Westminster Abbey. Pages are clean and in good condition. May have particular interest to geneologists as several chapters deal with Boyds, Macaulays, MacLeods and of course, Morrison's among others. Thanks for shopping with us! 100% of your purchase supports charity and benefits literacy and lifelong learning.. Buckram. Fair/No Jacket. Illus. by Dinsmoor, C. H.. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. more information
