T.F.H. Publications, 1993. Signed by the author. The boards are attached to one another but detached from the book's spine. However, the book is not in danger of falling apart. Three pages have a bumped area on the right edge; the rest have no creases or tears. The jacket has general shelf-wear, a few small tears and a larger tear at the top of the spine that has been repaired with scotch tape. The binding is cracked between a few 2-pg spreads and the book lays flat when opened, but no pages are loose. The binding is dependable but the book should be handled with care to prevent further wear and tear due to the book's extreme weight. This copy includes the photo of Xentilapia papilio which was inserted in the book by hand by the publisher (see page 162).. Signed by Author. Hardcover. Good/Good.
