Chicago's Big Snow January 1967

Chicago Tribume, 1967. All the pages are pinched lightly near the right edge while the rear cover is pinched more strongly in the same area. The cover is also pinched all along the spine. This souvenir booklet covers the blizzard of January 26, 1967 that brought 16.4 inches of snow to Chicago. By the time the snow stopped, 29 hours after it had begun, 23 inches had fallen and winds were up to 53 miles an hour. Heavily illustrated with b/w photographs, 32 pgs.. Stapled Wrap. The Glory and the Dream (2 volumes)

Little, Brown and Company, 1974. This is a 2-book set (Book Club Edition). In Vol. 1 there is a creased corner on one page in the Table of Contents, a tiny drop-sized brown stain on the bottom edge of two pages, and the previous owner's name is written on one page. Vol. 2 has no creases, tears or writing. The outer edges of the pages have darkened on both books but the interiors are clean. The jackets have yellowed along the edges and especially in the spine area. They also have several gray smudges, edgewear, and a few small tears. The boards are scraped along the bottom of the spine. The bindings for both books are straight and strong.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. more information
