Phaeton Press, 1968. Reprint of the 1911 edition, published by Phaeton Press in 1968 in 3 volumes, printed on cream-colored textured paper, with reproductions of some of the pages from the note books. This set has been retired from a public library so there are a few stickers and stamps. Also, the free front endpaper has been removed from each book. The books are gently used with a few pages showing minor signs of handling. One page in Vol. 1 has a faint bend (it was partially folded but not creased). Two additional pages have a small corner crease. Vol. 2 has no creases or tears. Three pages in Vol. 3 have been poked on the bottom edge. A remainder-like mark is on the bottom edge of each book. The rust-colored boards are clean but Vol. 2 & 3 have small tears at the top of the spine as a result of people pulling at the books to remove them from a shelf. NO JACKETS. Princeton University Press, 1976. 312 pages, 9 black and white illustrations, black cloth boards with silver and red lettering. The top corner of the rear board turns inward a little and this created a small bend to the corner tip on the pages at the back. All pages are clean and unmarked. No creases or tears. The jacket is scuffed along the spine and at the corners. There is a teensy hole next to the spine's edge where a finger must have poked it. The front cloth board is slit along the top edge, revealing the cardboard underneath. Even so, the condition of the inteiror makes this a nice copy of a rare book.. Hardcover.
