Dustjacket in good condition, only faults - the central area of the picture on the front board has light line marks (see picture), and there's a light crease line going down the spine. 159pp. With attractive pen drawings on almost all the pages by the author. Thelwell is famous for his cartoons - on riding, fishing, sailing and other subjects. In this book he describes in words and pictures how he landscaped his garden, dug a pool, created three little islands, built a stone bridge and a boathouse. The inhabitants of the pool, the islands and the surrounding countryside come vividly to life through his words and pen drawings.
