Narrow strip of light browning on free endpapers. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. 140pp. The play is set in the summer of 1914, and was first produced by The Play Actors on December 18th, 1921, at the Kingsway Theatre. The first public performance was given at the Playhouse, Liverpool on May 15th 1928, and William Armstrong played the character of Arnold Stafford on both occasions.
