Boston: Roberts Brothers Publishers, 1891. Reprint. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Brown paper covered boards with brown cloth spine. An early reprint of the 1887 original edition. This is a fair copy with heavy edge and corner wear, edges of paper have been worn back revealing the boards, cover illustration and titles still intact and attractive. Much scuffing to covers. Front free endpaper removed. Previous owner has hand written recipes in pencil on blanks throughout the book (about a dozen pages in all) and 2 pages have been given to a child's learning of numbers (mostly 4s and 2s) - text not effected by either. Binding is solid, with hinges showing wear but not budging. 237 pp., with many adverts at rear for other books. Well used, but solid. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. more information
