Cutts, Paddy

New York, New York, U.S.A.: Anness Publishing, Incorporated, 1994. This beautiful book is an encyclopedia of cats, breeds and cat care. The cover is glossy pictoral boards. There is an inscription "happy birthday" on the front flyleaf. The jacket has a tiny rip on the back bottom fold and there is a small "pin hole" on the spine of the jacket. The front of the jacket feels as though it might have been damp at one time but the general appearance is very very nice. It is a wonderful reference book if you are a cat owner. Frankly, having given cats pills, it shows the best illustrations of how to hold a cat and administer the pill if you are working alone that I have ever seen. Definitely a plus for a cat owner. New York, New York, U.S.A.: Delta, 1999. There is a very light amount of edgewear but no creases, writing, or stamps. There is, however, the previous owners' signature on the inside cover, which just caused me to knock off a few bucks from the price! From the back cover: "Readers don't have to be confirmed dog lovers or even dog owners to enjoy trailing along, for this book is about far more than dogs. PACK OF TWO offers a perceptive, extended meditation on us, who we are...and how our values are still changing as we grope our way toward the proper relationships between humans and pets...". Throughout the year that followed, Shy Boy grew to love life on the farm, playfully demanding attention and becoming fascinated by children. During a year of challenges and one frightening illness, the wild horse earned the respect and admiration of his trainers-he had exceptional spirit. And, as his fame grew following the PBS-aired documentary that featured his initial three-day encounter with Monty Roberts, Shy Boy began to receive visitors from allover the world. Yet throughout Shy Boy's year of fame, Monty Roberts was asked, "Would Shy Boy rather be free?" With trepidation, he took Shy Boy back to the wild to let him choose: Go with your herd, or stay with humans...". Hard Cover. As New/Near Fine. more information
