Spine chipped with small 1x1.5 cm. chip lacking, paper covers split at outer joints but inner hinges firm, minor stains else contents fine. Grandson of the great essayist, Hazlitt, 1834-1913, a prodigious bibliographer and compiler of collected works and reference books. Pp. 1-125, history and description; pp. 126-end, new gold discoveries in the Fraser River area from official accounts and reports of the London Times west coast correspondent, with the text of the 1858 Act creating the colony of British Columbia.
