Chicago: Rand McNally, 1941. One of nine books in the "Little Reference Series" adapted from The Book of Knowledge. The color illustrated cover shows wear and is a bit soiled. There is a 3/4" tear along the spine on the front, top. The corners are bumped and the cover has a slight bow to it. The pages are a little yellowed but are not marked. The binding is tight.. Mother Goose
NY: Random House, 1949. The color illustrated cover is worn overall and the plastic coating has bubbled and wrinkled in several places, although this is still intact. The cover is slightly sunned overall. The corners are rubbed and bumped, as are the top and bottom of the spine. The remains of a price sticker are found on the front near the fore edge. A bookplate with the former owner's name is glued to the top of the front paste down and there is a gift inscription in ink on the reverse of the front free end paper. A price has been written in pencil on the top of the front free end paper. Though slightly sunned, the pages are otherwise unmarked. The binding is in good condition.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Jolly Jingles from Mother Goose
Chicago: M. A. Donohue & Co.. Circa 1900. The color illustrated cover is worn, especially along the edges, and the corners are bumped and rubbed. About 1/2" of the top front corner has been bent and is creased, and there is a 1" crease on the front near the fore edge. The green cloth spine is in good condition. The rear cover is a bit sunned and is soiled. The stapled binding is loose at the front but all of the pages are intact. The staples are rusted. There is a name and price written in pencil on the top corner of the inside of the front cover and the former owner's name is written in pencil on the top of the front free end paper. Several of the illustrations have been neatly colored in crayon. The pages are yellowed and soiled from use.. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. (more information)

Young American Speaker
Chicago: M. A. Donohue & Co.. The color illustrated cover is worn overall and the corners are quite rubbed. The cover is also sunned and there is a 1/4" light brown organic stain on the rear near the spine. The red cloth spine is worn through in several places but is still intact. The binding is slightly loose at the front and loose at the rear but all of the pages are intact. There is a 1' by 3/4" U-shaped piece missing from the fore edge of the front free end paper and a 2 1/2" tear is found on the bottom of the same page near the binding. Another tear of 1" is also found on the fore edge of the same page. Three text pages have tears of 1" to 2" on their fore edges. The pages are yellowed but are not marked.. Hard Cover. Little Folks Story Book
Chicago: Homewood Publishing Co.. Circa 1900. The color illustrated cover is quite worn, especially along the edges. The corners are bumped and rubbed. A 1" by 1/2" U-shaped piece is missing from the bottom edge. The red cloth spine is rubbed at the top and bottom and there is a 3/4" narrow tear along the rear edge near the top. The covers are a bit soiled. The binding is loose at the front but all of the pages are intact. Portions of the front paste down appear to have been removed; this is just along the fore and bottom edges and does not severely affect the illustration. The former owner's name is written in pencil on the top of the front free end paper and there is a penciled price written on the top corner of the front paste down. The bottom corner of the front free end paper has a 3/4" tear and the corner is creased. There is a 1/2" tear on the bottom edge of the front free end paper. A 3" tear on the bottom of the second front free end paper has been repaired with tape. A 1" tear is found on the bottom of the title page, and has been folded back to form a crease. There is a 1 1/2" tear on the fore edge of the first text page. The pages are yellowed and soiled from handling.. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. (more information)
