Partial run of Parish Record/Year Book booklets for the Evangelical Lutheran Congregations of St. John's, Richlandtown; Christ's, Trumbauersville; Trinity, Quakertown; Emmanuel's, Franconia; Bucks and Montgomery counties, Pennsylvania. Variously paginated, all color paper wraps. Run extends from (First Series) No. 8 (1894) through No. 50 (1936), with No. 27 (1913, present but lacking 2 pages, lacking No. 44 (1930) including a 1928 and a 1930 Parish Directory and a 1932 Dedication Program for St. John's Richlandtown, and (Second Series) No. 1 (1937) through No. 23 (1959), complete (no issue in 1950). Starting with No. 20 (1906), Emmanuel's was not included in the records, and starting with No. 26 (1912), Trinity was also eliminated; commencing in 1937 with reorganization, the records are for Old Goshenhoppen, Woxall, Montgomery Co., and Christ, Trumbauersville. A total of 68 items. Pastors include Rev. Mark Owen Heller, Rev. C. C. Schlitzer, Rev. Elbert E. Landis. The first series is continually paginated, ending with page 1106, the second paginated separately, each approx. 16 pp. Content includes financial records, confirmations, baptisms, lists of Sunday School teachers, and synopses of notable events in the congregations' history. Condition ranges Fair (one incomplete issue) to Near Fine, most issues at least VG, with light soiling and/or wear to edges, several early issues with detached but present covers and more substantial edge wear, most later issues showing only light handling wear. A scarce and significant grouping, seldom encountered this complete over so lengthy an era, helpful to Bucks and Montgomery genealogical collections.. First Edition. Original Wraps. Undated, ca. 1890s, rural mail directory for the greater Indianapolis, Indiana area. 510 pp., with many local and area advertisements. Paper reapir to front pastedown (ad for Marott's Shoe Store) shows some discoloration and cracked front hinge, closed tear along fore-edge of p. 2-3, a few light pencil marks scattered through interior, edges somewhat thumbed. Most of the text block is printed on pulp paper and is thus somewhat toned, but otherwise intact. Alphabetically arranged by surname, providing the name of every member of the family, with head of family appearing first, rural free delivery and mail route number, name of the originating post office, distance patron lives from post office and direction from post office, township, occupation, nationality, amount of property owned (where applicable), members of family. Greenwood, Indianapolis, Noblesville, Mooresville, Shelbyville, Whiteland, Whitestown, Cumberland, Fairland, Wanamaker, London, Southport, Fisher's Switch, Lawrence, many more. Lacking pp. 498-509 at rear, which includes portions of the Business Directory and Index to advertisements; the main text portion of the directory (residential) is complete, as is the front ad section. Overall, evaluated as Good, worn but not abused, with note to lacking text at rear, but still quite useful as a vintage residential directory with much of genealogical interest.. First Thus. Overall, leather remains dark and supple, with few surface marks, modest rubbing along bottom edge. Former owner book plate on front pastedown. 999 pp., illus. w/ numerous b&w portrait plates. Possibly Genealogical Publishing Company, though not imprinted as such. [v],426 pp., map. Full record for the 21 counties then existing in Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Bedford, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Huntingdon, Lancaster, Luzerne, Mifflin, Montgomery, Northampton, Northumberland, Philadelphia, Washington, Westmoreland, York. This copy is bumped with indentations along both bottom edges near the bottom corner, a semi-circular crease to the lower front board, and mild damage evident along the lower rear board. The text block shows light evidence of bumping at the bottom corner. Former owner signature on front flyleaf. Overall, appears to have been a new copy perhaps damaged in transit, with an essentially "as issued" text block and tolerable (mainly cosmetic) condition issues. Firm binding, clean interior.. Cooperstown, NY: H. and E. Phinney, 1831. Early printing of the "Cooperstown Bible" made most famous by Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church. H. and E. Phinney's Stereotype Edition, by the firm later located in Buffalo, New York. Full calf, 4 raised bands. Front board detached but present, as is front flyleaf, inscribed on the blank verso as having belonged to Noah Hanford ("May you give him grace their [sic] in to look -- "). Bands are scuffed, and spine extremities rubbed; leather typically scuffed but essentially intact, with some exposure along bottom edges; black title label remains mounted on upper spine, though gilt lettering has rubbed away. Interior shows foxing, generally light, ranging to moderate here and there, and light dampstaining in places, nothing objectionable or profound. All four pages of the Family Register have been filled in with information about the family of the aforementioned Noah Hanford's family and descendants, who appear to have been associated with Wilton, Connecticut; Ithaca, New York; Barton, New York; Waverly, Tioga County, Pennsylvania; Sayre, Pennsylvania; also laid are 5 sheets of manuscript Hanford genealogy..
